Himanta visits Haflong Civil Hospital

HAFLONG, June 10 - State Health Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma visited Haflong Civil Hospital to assess the isolation ward yesterday. The minister also felicitated the doctors, nurses and other health staff who have completed their 14 days institutional quarantine after rendering service for the COVID-19 patients at the hospital.

He also appreciated the efforts of the medical and the civil officials to fight this pandemic.

Dr Sarma accompanied by MP Pallab Lochan Das, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Pijush Hazarika, Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council CEM, Tuliram Ronghang, MP Horensing Bey had reached here on Monday.

In the evening, he held a review meeting with the Executive Members and Members of Autonomous Council, Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, officials of Health department to discuss the arrangements to fight the COVID-19 in the district.

During the meeting, it was decided that the swab samples collected at Dima Hasao, will be tested in Guwahati. The meeting was held in the presence of North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) CEM Debolal Gorlosa, local MLA BB Hagjer, and NCHAC EM in-charge for medical Samuel Changsan, Chairperson Ranu Langthasa.
