Himanta speculates huge win in hustings of 2021

SIVASAGAR, Oct 4 - Addressing the two-day BJYM state conference at the Dr Bhupen Hazarika open pandal here, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Himanata Biswa Sarmah said the youth wing of the BJP is the brigade that would fight the elections from the front and keep the party�s prospects alive. He said that youth workers were the makers of future Assam.

Dr Sarmah said that no other party can think of providing treatment to 2,00,000 COVID-19 patients free of cost and constructing one medical college after another. BJP has changed the entire scenario in Assam, especially in the rural infrastructure front, he said.

Referring to the newly-formed �Jatiyatabadi dals� that think Upper Assam is their stronghold, Dr Sarmah said that BJP is there in every heart in Upper Assam and so the people there elect all their MLAs and MPs from BJP.

He said that a section of teachers in Sivasagar district who had been going without salaries will get some good news in November next.

He said if AIUDF thinks that BJP has been weakened and will be left without support from any regional party, then it is suffering from myopia. He reiterated that BJP will win over 100 seats in the 2021 election.

On the SI scam, the Minister said that the government has so far made thorough assessment of the situation. The due process of law will follow once the investigating agencies submit thier reports.

He admitted that a circle with vested interest was working overtime in various departments to malign the BJP.
