GUWAHATI, Nov 10 - AIUDF president Badruddin Ajmal today said that Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma should focus on governance instead of making controversial and sensitive remarks.
When you are in politics you should not get angry. Enjoy it. This is part of our life. Anger should be kept under control. If you cannot control your anger, then you should visit some doctor and seek consultation. Be cool. Keep control of self. If necessary, get admitted to some hospital for a few days. He (Sarma) is like my younger brother. If he comes to my hospital, then I will provide him 100 per cent free treatment, Ajmal told reporters here.
He was replying to questions from the media regarding the recent controversy about the alleged raising of pro-Pakistan slogans recently by some AIUDF workers at the Silchar airport and Sarmas subsequent social media posts on the subject.
Some incident happened at Silchar. Forget it now. It is past. Let us resume normal life. He (Sarma) is like my younger brother. He made a mistake. I have forgiven him, Ajmal said.
He said that Sarma should focus on working for the masses. Then people will love you. Or else if you (Sarma) go into depression due to mental pressure, then I will feel bad, said the AIUDF supremo.
When pointed out that Congress party has already lodged an FIR against Sarma for allegedly making communally-sensitive remarks, Ajmal said, Congress has filed a case. Somebody from our party may also file an FIR. That is a different matter.
