SILCHAR, SEPT 23: State Minister of Finance, Health and PWD Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday reiterated the BJP's claim to bring the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) and pass it in Parliament.

Addressing a meeting at the Karimganj District Library on the sidelines of being felicitated by the Karimganj District BJP for his leadership in driving home the Karimganj Lok Sabha seat, Himanta said," it is the unshaken stand of the BJP to bring the CAB for the protection of the displaced and persecuted persons from across erstwhile East Pakistan. Also, we shall see that no genuine Indian national will be left out of the NRC."

Further, motivating the workers, Himanta said that along with retaining the Ratabari LAC seat in the ensuing by-poll on October 21, each worker must strive to stamp victory in all the five LACs in the 2021 Assembly polls.
