Himanta announces new schemes for Pathsala

PATACHARKUCHI, Nov 14 - The State Government has earmarked an amount of Rs 30 crore for the development of Pathsala town. The entire funds will be spent on construction of a flyover, roads and other schemes.

While laying the foundation stone of the Tihu-Dumni road at Kenduguri, the State PWD Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the State Government has chalked out a plan to develop roads in order to improve infrastructure in the State. �Under the plan, a slew of developmental activities will be carried out in Pathsala,� the Minister said. In this context, he said that the State Government has already released to the tune of Rs 20 crore for repairing of Pahumora dyke.

The meeting was anchored by Pulu Kumar Sarma where local MLA Pabindra Deka also attended. Earlier, the Minister was accorded a warm felicitation. Munindra Sarma ,Deputy Commissioner of Barpeta, Dr Robin Kumar, Superintendent of Police, Barpeta and Bibhuti Mohan Saikia, chief engineer of PWD, took part in the programme.
