GUWAHATI, Oct 11 - Hima Das was today accorded a warm felicitation at Royal Global University, where she also interacted with the students, stated a release.
Chancellor AK Pansari and Pro Chancellor AK Modi welcomed her with a gamosa and a sarai. SK Pansari, senior director, Royal Estates Developers, announced the Developers� decision to gift a three-bedroom flat to her in �Royal Awaas� at Nagaon, an upcoming project under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana to be officially launched on November 11.
Acknowledging the felicitation accorded to her, the �Dhing Express� spoke about her life�s journey so far, adding that she has always been an inquisitive child keen to gain knowledge through books about the world. Stating that she is a voracious reader of Assamese books, she urged the students to study well, and laid special emphasis on sports. It is through sports that she has had an unbelievable journey from Dhing to the world arena, she said. Mentioning that she has imbibed her father�s perseverance, strength and love for sports, Hima said her joint family also taught her the importance of team work. She motivated the students to dream, stressing that dreams can be achieved if one is passionate enough.
