GUWAHATI, Feb 14 - After taking the world of athletics by storm, India�s new sprint sensation Hima Das is now busy appearing in her 12th board exams.
The reigning world junior champion in 400m who hails from Kandhulimari village in Nagaon district became an overnight star after her gold medal winning feat at Tampere, Finland last year. She went on to further improve her timing with a national record time of 50.79 seconds while winning silver in the Asian Games.
She is currently appearing for her Class 12 exams under the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council.
Hima�s board exams started on February 12 and will go on till March. She is not staying at her native village to appear for the examination at nearby Dhing College.
