ITANAGAR, Dec 12 - Arunachal Pradesh on Friday registered the highest single-day recoveries of 424 COVID-19 cases, which took the recovery rate of the State to 97.97 per cent.
The total discharged cases have surged to 16,163, a bulletin issued by the State Directorate of Health Services here stated. The State�s active cases have dipped below the 300 mark, settling at 279 on Saturday.
On the other hand, 18 fresh cases were detected on the day. The COVID-19 tally now stands at 16,497.
The Itanagar Capital Complex reported six of the new cases, and Changlang and Anjaw registered three each. East Siang recorded two cases, as one case each was reported from West Siang, Lower Dibang Valley, Siang and Pakke Kessang.
Eleven of the new cases have been found to be asymptomatic and seven symptomatic, the bulletin added.
Arunachal Pradesh has so far collected 3,67,980 samples, including 674 on Friday.
