HAFLONG, Oct 13 - To take stock of the situation at Umrangso in Dima Hasao district following the recent NEEPCO pipeline burst incident, a high-level team led by Hill Area Development Minister Sum Ronghang visited the site today.
The team held a prolonged discussion with the members of local NGOs and political leaders at the NEEPCO IB, in which several NEEPCO officials also took part.
The high-level team, which was constituted by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, will submit a report on the incident to the Chief Minister after visiting the site and also meeting the family members of the victims.
