KOKRAJHAR, July 11 - Keeping in view of the latest threat perception after the terrorist attack in a Dhaka restaurant and Bangladesh�s biggest Idd gathering, a high alert has been sounded in the entire lower Assam and BTAD areas.
All the superintendents of police in the lower Assam districts and BTAD areas have been asked to step up vigil in their respective areas, Dr LR Bishnoi, Additional DGP (Railway) of the Assam Police and IGP, BTAD, said today in a press meet here.
Bishnoi said security measures have been beefed up in the major and vital installations, railway stations and other important places in the entire lower Assam and BTAD area.
