NORTH LAKHIMPUR, Sept 21 - The Lakhimpur Police on Friday recovered 12.41 grams of suspected heroin filled inside 96 small plastic containers at Harmutty. The narcotics were recovered following a tip-off and arrest of one Raj Pegu of Ranga Reserve Forest, Lakhimpur.
Earlier on Thursday, Lakhimpur Police arrested three more accomplices of the dreaded robbery which took place on early this month in Chinatalya area of North Lakhimpur in which robbers took away Rs 9 lakh in cash, gold ornaments and severely injured the victim. Saidul Ali (32) alias Sayid, Amzad Ali (20) and Zubbar Ali (22) were from their hiding place in Ladrumbwai in Meghalaya. A cash of Rs 78,000 were recovered from their possession. All the arrested persons are from Kehutoli under Laluk Police Station in Lakhimpur. With this a total of seven persons have been arrested for the sensational Chinataliya robbery.
