AIZAWL, Dec 12 - The Mizoram Excise and Narcotics Department today seized 288 grams of heroin here and arrested three persons from the border town of Champhai in this connection, an official said.
The contraband substance worth around Rs 11 lakh was reportedly smuggled from Myanmar, spokesman of the department, Peter Zohmingthanga, said.
The three have been booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 and produced before a local court, he said. The court has remanded the three accused to judicial custody for 14 days. � PTI
