By Staff Correspondent

DIBRUGARH, March 30 - Kaliabor MP Gaurav Gogoi, who was scheduled to address two rallies in Tingkhong LAC in Dibrugarh district, had to land in Margherita after the helicopter that was carrying him crossed over to Arunachal Pradesh reportedly due to technical problem.

The chopper later took off from Margherita and landed at Tingkhongs Gandhi Maidan. One rally was scheduled in Tingkhong, while another was in Ouphulia. The Tingkhong election rally was addressed by Forest and Environment Minister Atuwa Munda, Gaurav Gogoi and a few others.

Son of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, Gaurav urged upon the people to script history by making Tarun Gogoi the Chief Minister for the fourth time. Criticising the BJP, he said the Congress had brought peace and development in the State. The BJP says not to distribute yarn, mosquito nets and blankets to the poor. But the Congress party says that the poor must get yarn, mosquito nets and blankets. We are for the poor, but the BJP is anti-poor, he said.
