GUWAHATI, June 15 - The Regional Meteorology Centre (RMC), Guwahati today warned that there is a possibility of thunderstorm with lightning and heavy rainfall occurring at isolated places over Dhubri, Goalpara, Barpeta, Udalguri, Karbi Anglong, Jorhat, Sivasagar, Cachar and Dima Hasao districts during the next 24 hours since this morning.
It also warned that there is a likelihood of thunderstorm with lightning occurring at isolated places over Kamrup, Baksa, Chirang, Dibrugarh, Lakhimpur, Karimganj, Hojai and Sonitpur districts and heavy rainfall at isolated places over Golaghat, Nagaon districts of the State during the same period.
While Nalbari, Baksa, Barpeta, Goalpara, South Salmara-Mankachar, Darrang and Morigaon, Majuli, Lakhimpur districts are likely to witness thunderstorm with lightning and heavy rainfall on June 16, Biswanath, Tinsukia, Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, districts are likely to witness thunderstorm with lightning and heavy rainfall over isolated places and Karbi Anglong district is likely to witness heavy rainfall activities over isolated places on the same day.
Dhubri, Kokrajhar, Bongaigaon, Chirang, Baksa, Nalbari, Hojai, Golaghat, Dibrugarh, Sivasagar, Lakhimpur districts are likely to witness heavy rainfall activities over isolated places on June 17, 2019, said the RMC in its warning issued this afternoon.
