GUWAHATI, March 24 � The Kamrup Metro district administration has fixed March 26 as the date for conducting a hearing regarding the inquiry to find out the cause behind last week�s fire at the Tribal Museum located in Nazirakhat area under the Sonapur police station.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup Metro Rajib Prakash Barua will conduct the hearing from 11 am to 3 pm on March 26 at the Sonapur Revenue Circle Office.
Interested individuals, organisations and others have been asked to be present at the place on that day to give their opinions. Fire broke out in the Tribal Museum on March 18, damaging it partially.
An inquiry has been instituted to probe if the incident was the result of any deliberate mischief and whether adequate fire safety equipment were available at the place, besides to find out if there was any administrative lapse.
