By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, Dec 12 The State Government is drawing an outline of a health service scheme for its employees in line with the health service scheme of the Central Government, said the Sadou Asam Karmachari Parishad (SAKP) in a statement here today.

The Parishad said that the State Government is also preparing an outline of a health service insurance scheme for its employees.

The above information were made available to the Parishad during a discussion of its representatives with the senior officers of the Health and Finance Departments in presence of the Chief Minister recently. The outlines of the schemes would be made known to the Parishad and if needed amendments would also be effected to them, the Parishad representatives were told during the discussion.

Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who was also present on the occasion, told the Parishad representatives that preparation of both the schemes would be completed and opinions would be exchanged with the Parishad on the proposed provisions of the schemes by February 28 next. The schemes would be implemented from April 1 next.

However, the SAKP representatives told the Government that their organisation would extend support to the schemes if all the State

Government employees could derive benefit from them.

The Health Minister told the SAKP representatives that the system of reimbursement of the medical expenses of the Government employees would be strengthened.

The Chief Minister directed Principal Secretary of the Finance Department to take steps for getting the court injunction on regularization of the casual, fixed-pay and master-roll workers removed and to settle the issue expeditiously.

The SAKP is holding a meeting of its central committee, presidents and general secretaries of its district committees and its affiliated bodies at 10 am of December 18 at the Panjabari Karmachari Bhawan to discuss the above developments.
