Health Minister interacts with businessmen

GUWAHATI, July 29 - Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma today visited the office of the Kamrup Chamber of Commerce (KCC) and held a discussion with representatives of various trade organisations and associations.

Minister Sarma also visited a COVID testing centre adjacent to the KCC office at Agarwal Bhawan and advised all members of the business community to go for tests to contain the spread of the virus.

All members of the business community who attended the meeting, unanimously assured Sarma that they would cooperate with the State government.

Meanwhile, today 92 persons of the business community � which included both owners and employees � went for COVID tests and all tested negative. KCC president MP Jain also tested negative.

Dr Sarma also said that Rituraj Hotel would be converted into a temporary hospital facility for vegetarian people under the supervision of GMCH. He also expressed concern at the losses caused in business during the lockdown.
