Health care award to city hospital

GUWAHATI, Dec 27 - City-based Hayat Hospital has received the Six Sigma Excellent Health Care Award for 2017 for excellence in the field of health care service in the North East.

Among the 477 nominations from the various hospitals of the country, Hayat Hospital has been selected for the award from the North East by the jury that included Dr Kirit P Solanki, MP from Gujarat; MC Misra, former Director, AIIMS and 14 others from various fields of medical science.

The criteria for the selection included infrastructure, quality of service, expertise of clinical and non-clinical staff of the hospital, cleanliness etc., Parag Jyoti Dutta, GM, Hayat Hospital said in a press release.

CEO of Hayat Hospital Rajib Saikia received the award from Randeep Golaria, Director of AIIMS and Pawan Kapur of Indian Air Force in presence of Medical Superintendent of AIIMS Dr Shakti Gupta and Miss World Manushi Chillar.

Along with Hayat Hospital, PD Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai; Apollo Hospital, Mohali; PSRI Hospital, New Delhi and IVI Center were awarded for expertise in their own fields. The hospitals were each given a certificate of excellence along with a memento.
