Health cards for late Dr Bora�s family members

DIBRUGARH, Dec 19 - Deputy Commissioner Laya Madduri today handed over Atal Amrit Yojana healthcare cards to three family members of late Dr Mahendra Borah. She said that the family members can now avail medical services worth up to Rs 2 lakh per year for various ailments. She said a health official has been assigned to see to it that the family members can avail of the services without any hassle.

Dr Bora�s widow, Geeta Bora, her ailing son Dipankar and chronically ill daughter Swapnasmita have been suffering for several months now, without proper medical attention. Help and financial aid has been trickling in, but it is insufficient to meet the exorbitant healthcare costs. The Deputy Commissioner said that Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has given instructions to see to it that the family members of Dr Bora are not deprived of proper medical treatment.
