Health camps mark World Physiotherapy Day

GUWAHATI, Sept 8 - On the occasion of World Physiotherapy Day today, a free physiotherapy health camp and a signature campaign �Bikhor Bhayabohota dur karar xopot lou ahak� were organised by the Assam Physiotherapy Association of Govt Institutions (APAGI) on the Silpukhuri Kali Mandir premises.

More than 40 patients attended the health camp with common ailments like low back pain, knee pain, neck pain, shoulder pain., etc. They were given treatment by APAGI members. The signature campaign was inaugurated by social worker Kanak Ch Bhattacharya.

President of Silpukhuri Kali Mandir Pramod Deka, social worker Tarani Kalita and poet-writer Kashi Nath Debsarmah inaugurated APAGI�s another programme to pay tribute to Dr Bhupen Hazarika and in memory of physiotherapist late Jitumani Das, said a press release.

Programme at Press Club: On the occasion of World Physiotherapy Day today, a health camp for the benefit of member-journalists of the Guwahati Press Club was organised today on the Press Club premises at the initiative of the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (Assam branch), Indian Association of Physiotherapists Women Cell (Assam branch) and All Assam Physiotherapy Association.

Dr Chatrajit Das (PT), Dr Mayur Das (PT) and Dr Trishna Saikia Baruah (PT) offered their services at the camp. They were assisted by Banashri Das (MPT), Dikshita Rabha (MPT), Bhargab Bhattacharya (MPT), Laizu Yeamin Lipa (MPT), Mathew Lalruatliana (MPT) and Karan Yangma (MPT).
