Health camp at Tribune club

GUWAHATI, May 31 - On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, city-based GNRC Hospitals today organised a free health-cum-awareness camp at the Assam Tribune Sports Club.

With the efforts of Mrinal Ali Hazarika, PR Marketing, GNRC Hospitals and Mamoni Goswami � Dr Nahid S Islam, neuro psychiatrist, Dr Pallabi Sarmah, Neurologist, Dr Prabir Kumar Gupta, cardiologist, Dr Bikram Sarma, cardiologist and Dr Hara Kumar Das of medicine department, from GNRC Hospitals conducted the camp. The camp was attended by most employees of The Assam Tribune Group.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Islam laid stress on a tobacco-free society and highlighted the hazards related to consumption of tobacco products.

The Assam Tribune employees who participated in the camp expressed happiness that the Assam Tribune Sport Club premises have been declared a tobacco-free zone where use and consumption of tobacco products are strictly prohibited.

Assam Tribune Sports Club president Hiranya Kumar Barman and general secretary Debasish Sinha thanked the GNRC Hospitals for making the health camp a success.
