JAGIROAD, Dec 4 - A health awareness programme was organised by the Extension Education Cell of Jagiroad College at Sitajakhala Secondary School, 8 km from here recently to create awareness among the student community.
Attending the awareness programme as a resource person, Dr Tulon Ch Bora, retired health officer, Morigaon Civil Hospital, in his brief speech, called upon the student community to maintain good health. He explained the importance of Global Hand Washing Day and World Toilet Day. Another resource person of the meet, Dr Atindra Das, dental surgeon of Jhargaon PHC, gave a brief description of various dental diseases. He appealed to the student community to take care of their teeth. Dr Hem Chutia, coordinator, EEC, explained the aims and objectives of the awareness meet. Earlier, Dhan Chetri, a teacher of the school welcomed the guests in the programme conducted by Gurudatta Sharma, president of the managing committee.
