GUWAHATI, Nov 21 - The Gauhati High Court today rejected the bail petition of two suspected smugglers of wildlife items who were arrested for trading in ivory.
Special Counsel for the State (Wildlife Protection Act) BK Mahajan said that the accused � Joymashi Tete and Reni Ind � were arrested for smuggling two elephant tusks, each 2.2-foot long, from the interiors of Karbi Anglong district.
A case was also registered under Sections 379/429 of the Indian Penal Code in this connection.
