GUWAHATI, Dec 18 - The Gauhati High Court today rejected the bail petitions of all the 19 ACS, APS and allied services officers who were arrested in connection with the cash-for-jobs scam in the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC).

The Court of Justice Rumi Kumari Phukan keeping in view the lengthy arguments and counter arguments placed by the defence and the prosecution on Friday, today rejected the bail petitions primarily on the strength of the available materials against the accused in the case diary and also in the interest of the ongoing investigation being done by the Dibrugarh Police.

Among those whose bail petitions were moved include Harshajyoti Bora, Amarjit Das, Hemanta Hillol Saikia, Jyotirmoy Adhikari, Badrul Islam Choudhury, Pallabi Sarma Choudhury, Sunaina Aideo, Sabina Imran, Rajarshi Sen Deka, Debojit Borah, Gitali Doley, Rumi Saikia, Jatindra Prasad Baruah, Himangshu Choudhury, Dipak Khanikar, Harsha Jyoti Baruah, Jayanta Kumar Nath, Dwitun Borgoyari, Sudipta Goswami, Kamal Debnath and Nishamoni Deka (pre-arrest bail).

Meanwhile, three more arrested accused including Kunal Das, Anirudha Roy and Raju Saha have moved the bail petition before the Gauhati High Court, which has called the case diary on January 2, 2018.
