GUWAHATI, July 2 - The Gauhati High Court has pulled up the State Government for non-compliance in connection with a writ petition filed by the members of the Assam College Teachers� Association praying for a direction for enhancement of the age of their superannuation up to 65 years.
The Court, under the supervision of Chief Justice Ajit Singh and Justice Suman Shyam, had asked the State Government, one of the respondents, to examine the case of the petitioner in the light of the UGC Regulation, 2010 and also directed to complete the process within a period of three months from the date of receiving the order.
However, not satisfied with the response of the Government, the Court criticised the Government and directed the latter do the needful on July 20, the date fixed for next hearing.
