Harjeet Jaggi new GM of NF Rly (Cons)

GUWAHATI, Oct 25 - Harjeet Kumar Jaggi has taken over charge as General Manager of the Maligaon-headquartered Northeast Frontier Railway Construction Organisation.

Jaggi took charge on October 21, said an official statement issued today.

Prior to his new posting, Jaggi had held several important assignments in the Ministry of Railways as Chief Administrative Officer (Construction), Northern Railway, Secretary of Railway Board, Adviser (L&A) to Ministry of Railways, Principal Chief Engineer of North Western Railway, Divisional Railway Manager of Ambala, Chief Track Engineer of Northern Railway and Chief Bridge Engineer of Northern Railway.

He has also worked in various technical and managerial positions in the Railway Board, Northern Railway, Western Railway, Northeast Frontier Railway and Railway Coach Factory, Kapurthala.

Jaggi graduated from Delhi College of Engineering in 1978 with first class distinction in civil engineering. He belongs to the Indian Railway Service of Civil Engineering, IRSE, of 1978 batch.

During his service period, Jaggi has undergone specialised training on procurement procedure for a World Bank-aided project organised by World Bank in Mumbai, on maintenance of high speed track machines organised by Transmark at Derby in the United Kingdom, on working of track machines at IRICEN, Pune and on Senior Management Development Programme and Appreciation of Computers for Managers at Railway Staff College, Vadodara.

Besides, he has also undertaken training on appreciation of track machines by field engineers at the Indian Railway Track Machine Maintenance Centre, Allahabad, on advanced P-Way at the Indian Railway Institute of Civil Engineering, Pune and on advance bridge engineering at the Indian Railways� Institute of Advance Track Technology at Pune.

Jaggi has also gone on official trips to Argentina, Belgium, China, France, Italy, Mexico, Russia, Singapore and UK, the release added.
