GUWAHATI, Dec 18 - An unidentified thief broke into a hardware shop at Narengi and decamped with Rs 1 lakh in cash last night.
The incident came to light when the owner, Sanjiv Agarwal, opened the shop this morning.
A CCTV camera installed inside the shop captured the thief in the act.
A police source said that the shop owner found the cash missing from the locker and immediately informed the police about the incident.
A case has been registered at Noonmati police station and the investigation is under way, he said.
