IMPHAL, April 19 � Around 100 houses were reportedly damaged in pre-monsoon rains accompanied by strong wind and hailstorm in Manipur, sources said.
However, there is no report of any human casualty during the nature�s fury. Most of the houses were damaged in various parts of Imphal district last night.
Temporary structures and paddy fields were also severely affected across the hilly Tamenglong district due to heavy downpour accompanied by strong wind this afternoon. The Hill areas of the State experienced seasonal downpours since the last two days.
Heavy rains accompanied by strong wind was also reported from other hill districts including Ukhrul, reports added.
