Hailakandi DC reviews status of welfare schemes

HAILAKANDI, Oct 25 - The Deputy Commissioner of Hailakandi, Keerthi Jalli on Thursday reviewed the present status and progress of different developmental schemes.

At a meeting of the District Development Committee held at her office conference hall, DC Jalli asked the Executive Engineer of PWD (Building) to complete construction work of the Polytechnic at Katlicherra and ITI at Kuchila and set November and December as the deadline.

Jalli also asked the PWD official to complete the balance portion of the gallery of District Sports Association by December.

Reviewing the progress of mega piped-water supply schemes at Lala Multi Village, Greater Bowerghat, Greater Sheralipur and Kalinagar-Panchgram, the Deputy Commissioner asked the Executive Engineer of Public Health Engineering Department to expedite completion of the remaining work.

Jalli while reviewing the progress of improvement of Silchar-Dwarbond-Gaglacherra-Phaishan Road under ARMF, directed the senior official of PWD (State Roads) to complete the task by November.

She also reviewed the status of progress of PWD (Rural Roads), PWD (NH), Water Resources, Social Forestry, Fisheries, Transport, Sports and Soil Conservation, among others.

District Development Commissioner Madhumita Chaudhuri, Additional Deputy Commissioner EL Faihraem, SDO J Daimari, Assistant Commissioner Parikshit Phukan and heads of different departments were present in the meeting.
