Hagrama Mohilary files nomination papers

KOKRAJHAR, March 24 � Hagrama Mohilary, chief of BTC and BPF supremo, along with 11 other BPF candidates, filed their nomination papers in Kokrajhar district today. A total of 38 candidates (including Congress, BJP, AGP, PCDR) filed nomination papers today in Kokrajhar district for the ensuing BTC election scheduled for April 8.

Hagrama Mohilary has filed his nomination papers from Debargaon constituency. Other BFP candidates who filed their nomination papers today are � Derhasat Basumatary from Salakati constituency, Doneswar Goyary from Baukhungri constituency, Baktar Ali Ahmed from the Fakiragram constituency, Rajib Brahma from Banargaon constituency, Sahandra Brahma from Parbatjhora constituency, Rahindra Brahma from the Guma constituency, Lakhiram Tudu from Srirampur constituency, Tikendra Basumatary from Jomduar constituency, Mrithunjoy Narzary from Saraibil constituency, Sobharam Basumatary from Kachugaon constituency and Indra Mohan Brahma from Salakati constituency.

Talking to mediapersons after filing his nomination papers Mohilary said that peace and all-round development of the region would be the main poll plank of the BPF and he would win by a huge margin. He was hopeful of a peaceful election this time and predicted a clean sweep for the BPF. Kampa Borgoyari, Deputy chief of BTC, Hemendra Nath Brahma, ex-MLA, top leaders of BPF and hundreds of supporters accompanied him to the office of the returning officer.

On the other hand, BJP candidates who filed their nomination papers today included Manoj Kr Brahma from Banargaon constituency, Malati Rani Narzary from Salakati constituency, Raj Kr Brahma from Baukhungri constituency, Samrendra Brahma from Debargaon constituency, Dilip Kr Barman from Fakiragram constituency.

Congress candidates who have filed their nomination papers today included Md Nur Alam Sk from Guma, Chrisostom Tudu from Srirampur, Ajit Narzary from Jomduar, Sanjita Basumatary from Saraibil, Rajendra Nath Brahma from Kachugaon and Dhananjoy Brahma from Dotma constituencies.

PCDR-backed candidates who have filed their nomination papers today are � Rukendra Nath Brahma from Guma, Jiron Basumatary from Jomduar, Somnath Narzary from Saraibil, Ukil Mushahary from Kachugaon and Jyatirindra Brahma from Dotam constituencies.

AGP candidate Zakir Hussain also submitted his nomination paper today from the Fakiragram constituency.

Among the Independent candidates who submitted their nomination papers today were Pankaj Islary from Banargaon, Garjen Mushahary from Baukhungri, Mahendra Roy from Fakiragram, Bishwa Kr Brahma from Parbatjhora, Abdul Khalqu Mondal from Srirampur, Nicholas Hasda from Srirampur, Dhananjoy Rabha from Jomduar, Amrit Narayan Brahma from Kachugaon constituencies.

It may be mentioned here that dissident BPF leader and Hagrama Mohilari�s sister-in-law Mun Mun Brahma today filed her nomination papers as an Independent candidate from Parbatjhora constituency.
