Hagrama hails Ranjan talks move

KOKRAJHAR, May 18 � Hagrama Mohilary, the chief of BTC today welcomed Ranjan Daimari�s proposal for unconditional talks to resolve the issues between the Government and the NDFB leadership.

Talking to mediapersons, Mohilary said he was ready to facilitate the process, if necessary, on the basis of Ranjan Daimari�s proposal for unconditional talks revealed to the media by his sister Anjali Daimari.

Mohilary informed that a meeting of the BPF executive body and CWC would be held at Boroma on May 21 to discuss the strategy of BPF in the forthcoming Assembly elections. In the annual convention of Ex-BLT Welfare Society the next day, a future plan of action will be decided on some pending clauses of the MoU signed between the Government and the BLT in 2003 that include grant of ST status to Bodos in Karbi Anglong and NC Hills, withdrawal of cases against BLT cadres, etc.
