Hagrama files papers

KOKRAJHAR, March 16 - BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary along with three other BPF candidates filed nomination papers before the respective Assistant

Returning Officers in Kokrajhar Sadar Sub-Division for the ensuing BTC election today.

While Hagrama Mohilary filed his nomination from Debargaon BTC constituency before the Assistant Returning Officer Ashim Borgohain, former Executive Member of BTC Derhasat Basumatary filed his nomination from Salakati BTC constituency before the Assistant Returning Officer Dipen Barman, the siting Executive Member of BTC Doneswar Goyary filed his nomination from the Baukhungri BTC constituency and siting Executive Member of BTC Rajib Kumar Brahma filed his nomination from the Banargaon BTC constituency before the Assistant Returning Officers Ranjumoni Datta and Sailan Das respectively.

BPF supremo Hagrama Mohilary is quite confident of winning and forming the BTC government for the fourth term.

Talking to mediapersons soon after filing his nomination papers, Mohilary said that although there will be a large number of candidates participating from many political parties in this BTC election but BPF-BJP-AGP alliance candidates will win with high margin in not less than 25-30 seats out of the total 40 BTC constituencies. Like the previous times, peace and development remain the main poll plank for his party in this election, he said.
