KOKRAJHAR, Sept 9 - BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary expressed his strongest possible displeasure over the visit of Governor and Chancellor of Bodoland University (BU) Prof Jagdish Mukhi recently without informing and taking the BTC administration into confidence.
As a matter of fact, the Governor, the Chancellor of the Bodoland University held a meeting with the teaching and non-teaching staff of Bodoland University at the BU campus, Debargaon in Kokrajhar while BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary who had come to take part in the meeting but left the place as the BTC administration was not officially informed nor invited for the meeting.
Talking to mediapersons at the BU campus outside the meeting hall, Hagrama Mohilary said that the Bodoland University is a creation of a part of the MoU signed for Bodoland movement and the BTC administration has to be involved to develop its infrastructure and to fill up any short- comings and lapses. �It is very unfortunate that the BTC administration has not been invited for the meeting,� Mohilary said.
On the other hand, explaining the situation, the Governor who is also the Chancellor of BU said that the meeting with the university staff was to discuss and resolve certain crucial problems the university was facing and non-availability of certain grants and protection benefits of the employees.
