UDALGURI, June 11 - BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary yesterday attended an Iftar party organised at Ranipukhuri here at Udalguri along with Jagadish Sarkar, executive member of BTC, Charan Boro and Maheswar Boro, MLAs of Mazbat LAC and Kalaigaon LAC respectively and assured the religious minorities that nothing wrong would be done to the original citizens of this country in this part of the land.
He said that BTC is a land of peace and when peace prevails, development will come to the region.
Talking to the mediapersons, Mohilary condemned the recent Karbi Anglong incident and hoped that the law will take its own course. He also appealed to the people not to rely on rumours and inform the authority concerned in case of any violent incident.
