Guwahati, Nov 10: Joseph Marak, the construction worker, who sustained injuries during the GS Road hit and run incident on October 1 late night is no more. The 55-year-old person from Meghalaya succumbed to his injuries this wee hour.
Family sources said Marak lost both his legs in the accident and was under treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital and his condition was critical for the last few days.
On October 1 late night, a female driver identified as Rajkanya Baruah mowed down a few construction workers in the middle of GS Road and was later arrested by the police.
