Guwahati, May 17: Dr Jyotsna Bhattacharjee former Head of the Department, Philosophy Cotton College ,wife of Late Dr Golok Bhattacharjee left for her heavenly abode on Monday succumbing to Covid 19.

She was born in 1932 in Jorhat and was the youngest daughter of eminent Lawyer Late Gunjanan Barua and Late Indu Barua. Dr Bhattacharjee was the founder of Angelika High School. She was a regular contributor to The Assam Tribune with articles and had penned down 4 novels.


Dr Bhattacharjee is survived by her two sons and a host of grand children and great grand children.
