Karabi-Dubori murder case: HC dismisses appeal filed by CBI on Bhagya Kalita

Guwahati, Sep 15: The Bench of Hon'ble Justice Suman Shyam and Hon'ble Justice Parthivjyoti Saikia at Gauhati High Court today dismissed the criminal appeal no. 145/2021 filed by CBI assailing the judgement of the trial court acquiting Bhagya Kalita and another person of charges of murder under section 302 IPC.

Senior counsels A.K. Bhattacharya and D.K. Mishra appeared for the accused in the said appeal.

Kalita along with another person were charged for the murder of Karabi Das, wife of Ujjal Kr Das and their minor daughter in the year 1995.
