Guwahati, Sept 1: In a gruesome incident, a teen-aged girl was stabbed to death by unidentified assailant(s) in broad day light at Uzanbazar area here on Wednesday morning.
The victim was alone in the house when the incident took place. Neighbours of the family said that the victim's parents were at the fast-food stall which they run when the incident took place. The stall is located at a distance of around one kilometer from the crime scene. The body, which was spotted by one of their relatives, was lying in the pool of blood and has multiple injury marks. Surprisingly, none of the neighbours heard any unusual sound or cry from the victim's house.
Teams from Forensic Laboratory, CID and Crime Branch visited the spot and collected samples. Assam Police's dog squad was rushed to the spot. Police was yet to arrest or detain anyone in connection with the incident till the time of filing this report.
