Azara, May 20: After 38 persons are tested covid positive, Kamrup(M) district administration has declared Tantipara area under kahikuci GP in Azara revenue circle as containment zone today .Meanwhile Azara C.O Mrinal Bora, O.C Azara P.S Utpal Sangma, I/C Borjhar police O P Ashok Kalita and Jagannath Thakuria, president, kahikuchi G P today took stock of the condition of
people of the containment zone where 55 daily wage earner families live. The G P president Thakuria urged the DC, Kamrup(M) to provide all necessary assistance to the people booked in the zone.
It may be noted here that the number positive cases is rising regularly in the Azara revenue circle area .Local MLA R.N.Kalita visited the area and took stock of the covid situation on Wednesday. He also visited the airport steering centre, kahikuchi covid hospital and the proposed covid care centre at GIMT,Azara.
On the other hand , as the positive cases are going up day by day , the conscious citizens have demanded the authority concerned to enforce the covid protocol strictly in Azara and Dharapur Chariali markets.
