Guwahati, the 15th May: Biswanath police recovered 4(four) minor victims last week and arrested 5 (five) accused persons in connection with 3 different criminal cases of Behali Police Station.
The two arrested persons namely Ifran Khan (20 yrs), S/O Md. Gafar Khan. Vill- Dakhin Moran Gaon, PS- Behali and another minor accused of the same village have already been interrogated and forwarded to judicial custody. They were involved in kidnapping of two victims from Behali PS area and handing them over to another accused namely Ashish Panika @ Babu (28 yrs), S/O Late Falu Panika, Vill- Mikir Sang (Dufflagarh) PS- Gohpur.
Ashish Panika has also been arrested and during interrogation he confessed that he handed over the kidnapped kids to the following couple of Gohpur namely - Jusna Deori (28 yrs) and her husband Damodar Deori (48 yrs) of Vill- Chatrang Nepali Gaon, PS- Gohpur. Police team raided their house in Gohpur and recovered one minor victim from their house. Ashish Panika, Jusna Deori and Damodhar Deori were arrested and brought on police remand for 3 days. Based on their confessions, the remaining two victims were recovered from Hollongi area of Papum Pare District of Arunachal Pradesh. The team also recovered another minor of Dakhin Moran Gaon village, Behali from the same area.
