GUWAHATI, March 6 � Host Guwahati routed Karimganj by a huge margin of one innings and 151 runs in Group A league match of Senior Inter District Cricket Tournament for the Nuruddin Ahmed Trophy.
Chasing a massive target of 223 to make Guwahati bat again, Karimganj batsmen continued their poor form in the second innings too and were all out for 72 in just 23.4 overs.
Abu Neschim Ahmed and Gokul Sharma were too hot to handle for the visiting batsmen and surrendered meekly to Abu�s pace and Gokul�s spin. The two-day encounter at the Nehru Stadium here was complete in half an hour before the lunch break.
With today�s innings victory, Guwahati earned six points from this match and topped the group with 15 points from three matches and entered the semifinal stage.
