GUWAHATI, April 23 � Guwahati defeated Sivasagar by a huge margin of 8 wickets to storm into the semifinals of the Nuruddin Trophy Elite Group Senior Inter District Cricket Championship. In the final day of the three-day match, Guwahati in their second innings requiring 59 to win, smacked 62 for 2. Guwahati�s Romario Sharma and Rishab Das were not on 23 and 11 respectively. Earlier, Sivasagar resuming at their overnight score of 14/4 were all out for 134. The only bright spot in their innings was a 86-run not out innings by Bharat Newar. Guwahati�s Gokul Sharma was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 5/57 and Chanakya Sharma also took 3 wickets for 35 runs.
