GUWAHATI, Feb 25 - The Guwahati Food Awards for this year will be announced at a gala event here tomorrow.
The voting for the awards closed this year with over 1,60,000 votes, which is 1,00,000 more than the previous edition. This year, the process saw over 100 restaurants from the city nominating themselves across 25 categories, stated a press release.
Sunit Jain, publisher of GPlus and the architect of the Guwahati Food Awards, expressed happiness over the public support. The Awards have helped raise the benchmark of city�s foodscape, he said.
The Guwahati Food Awards have also added a category for home bakers this year to encourage bakers to develop their hobby and passion into profession by recognising their efforts at this platform, the release added.
