GUWAHATI, June 22 - At the 50th Golden Jubilee Convocation of IIT Kanpur, held on June 15 and 16, Novnit Kashyap from Guwahati brought laurels to the State by getting the Director�s Gold Medal for outstanding all-round achievement and leadership. He was also awarded the Prof ASR Sai Memorial Medal for outstanding all-round achievement in the Civil Engineering dept.
A brilliant student since childhood, Novnit who started his education from Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Silpukhuri, completed his Class X from Bangalore with a CGPA of 10 and Class XII from Chennai with 97%. Novnit is the younger son of Ranjit Goswami and Jaba Goswami, and a resident of Ambari here.
