Guwahati-Bongaigaon tie ends in a draw

GUWAHATI, April 10 - The two-day quarterfinal league match of the Nuruddin Ahmed Trophy Senior Inter District Cricket Tournament between Guwahati and Bongaigaon ended in a draw at the ACA Stadium in Barsapara here today.

Guwahati took a huge 368-run first innings lead and garnered three points against Bongaigaon�s one.

On the final day, resuming at 215 for two, Guwahati went on to score 461 in their first innings. Overnight batsman Hrishikesh Tamuly and Riyan Parag scored 148 and 129 respectively while Pritam Debnath contributed 70. For Bongaigaon, Pritam Talukdar took six wickets for 78.

At close, Bongaigaon were 23 for the loss of three wickets.

Brief scores: Bongaigaon 1st Innings 93.

Guwahati 1st Innings (overnight 215/2) 461 (Hrishikesh Tamuly 148, Riyan Parag 129, Pritam Devnath 70; Saahil Jain 38, Pritam Talukdar 6/78).
