GUWAHATI, April 17 - The first race of Guwahati Bicycle Championships (GBC) organised by Pedalroads Cycles concluded recently at the Amchang reserve forest here. �
The 21km cross-country off-road Amchang MTB Challenge is a part of the 10 episode long cycling race. This is the first season of GBC and will conclude in April, 2019. The race series is being organised in a bid to encourage the amateur cyclists of Assam towards competitive cycling as a sport, stated a press release. The next race of the series will be held on May 13.
Results: 1st Dushmanta Morang (Lakhimpur, 51 minutes and 15 seconds, 14 points); 2nd Mrinmoy Roy (Bongaigaon, 54 minutes and 26 seconds, 13 points); 3rd Innus Ali (Guwahati, 59 minutes and 29 seconds, 12 points).
