GUWAHATI, Feb 21 � The Guwahati district team won 12 gold, 15 silver and five bronze medals at the 1st All Assam Seishinkai Shito-Ryu Karate-Do Championship held recently at the Nabagraha Kali Mandir Field, a press release stated. Kaushik Gogoi was adjudged as the best karateka of the meet.

The Guwahati District team was coached by Mintu Saloi and the team manager was Girish Malla Buzarbaruah.

The medal winners are: Kumite(under 7 years: Vishal Saloi(silver), Bhim Limbu (bronze), Jahnavi Devi (gold), Jiya Sarma (silver); under 25 kg: Ruhit Barua (gold), Sagar Dutta(silver); above 25 kg: Nihar Ranjan Goswami (gold); Girls� under 22kg: Harshita Hazarika(silver) ;under 28 kg: Sachin Kalita (gold), Mubarak Ali (silver); above 28 kg:Amitabh Medhi (gold), Raktim Malla Bujarbaruah (silver); Girls�under 26 kg: Tina Saloi (silver); Girls� above 26 kg: Krishangi Bhuyan (silver), Priya Das (bronze); Boys� under 32 kg: Babidul Ali (silver); Boys� above 32 kg: Swarnav Das Barman (gold), Mahendra Sarma (bronze); Boys� under 45 kg : Kaushik Gogoi (gold); Boys� under 55 kg: Ramzan Ali (silver).
