Guv visits Dhubri to take stock of ongoing schemes

DHUBRI, Sept 6 - Governor Jagdish Mukhi on Wednesday reviewed various ongoing schemes in Dhubri district.

The Governor first visited the Dhubri Civil Hospital and inspected various wards, toilets and the operation theatre of the hospital.

The Governor, however, stated that he found the hospital much cleaner than during his last visit.

He also instructed the hospital authorities to increase the security of the hospital by keeping an exit registry in every gate.

The Governor also visited the BN College area and inspected the ongoing cleanliness drive there. He also found the drain near the college free from garbage.

The Governor was informed by the Executive Magistrate of the Dhubri Municipal Board that the administration has taken up a project to beautify the drains around the college.

Later, Mukhi went to Nuniyapatty and other parts of the town, and inspected the cleanliness drive going on in these areas. He also interacted with the local people and advised them to dump garbage responsibly and maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
