RANGIYA, Sept 27 - Governor Banwarilal Purohit would visit Niz Borigog village near Kaniha under Rangiya subdivision to attend Maha Ashtami as the chief guest.
In this regard, the Governor would attend a special function being organised coinciding with the centenary celebration year of Durga Puja in the said village. Lok Sabha MP Ramen Deka, MLA, Hajo LAC Suman Haripriya, Kamrup DC Vinod Seshan, former Principal of KK Handiqui Govt Sanskrit College and other distinguished invitees would also attend the function.
It needs mention here that the said Puja committee has also organised a cleanliness drive coinciding with �Swachhata Hi Seva� campaign on the occasion. Prof Hariprasad Sarma, president of the said Puja Committee and Rector, Gauhati University, and secretary Nalini Prasad Sarma have solicited the presence and participation of all pious people to make the Puja a success.
