Guv for better security of train passengers

GUWAHATI, Dec 23 - General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway (Construction) and Northeast Frontier Railway HK Jaggi recently made a courtesy call on Governor PB Acharya.

During the meeting, the Governor stressed the need for further improvement of security of passengers in trains, cleanliness inside the trains and at the railway stations.

He requested the Railway authorities to provide opportunity to local youths in vending at railway stations and on improving quality of vending stalls.

He also requested the General Manager to introduce more trains in the Lumding-Silchar section to mitigate the demand of the people of Barak Valley.

Jaggi, on his part, assured the Governor of action on the issues raised by him.
